About Us
Klein Designs is a custom embroidery studio based in
Brooklyn, creating thoughtful, bespoke work stitched
in-house. We believe the best things feel personal — where
each stitch tells a unique story.
Our Story
Klein Designs was founded by Alexa Klein during her time at the University of Texas at Austin. Rooted in a family of creatives, Klein is shaped by generations of artistic influence — from painting and architecture to interior design. The brand’s logo continues that story, derived from the logo of Alexa’s grandfather’s architecture firm.
What began as hand embroidery projects for friends and family quickly grew into the creative studio it is today, taking it from the personal to the collective.
We now specialize in a variety of services including custom orders, bespoke bridal pieces, bulk projects for brands and businesses, and unique event activations with notable brands including Pinterest, Staud, Parke and Carbone.

"I have nothing but glowing, rave things to say about Alexa and her entire team at Klein designs - not only was she a dream to work with throughout my wedding planning process as a bride, but I feel so lucky to now consider her my go to girl for all of the most sacred milestones in life! I cannot say thank you enough for your genius design, amazing communication, and all of the fun as always."

Klein Designs has brought a constant stream of embroidery in our family, I truly can’t get enough. From simple additions to jackets, tennis bags, luggage, sweatshirts and hats to custom designs for both my parents' 70th birthday, these small designs make pieces I already loved and family trips so special. All the generations in matching sweatshirts and hats will be something we cherish forever.” – Carter Hamontree
